Customize background and forground color of ubuntu terminal

// Set background image on terminal or make transparent terminal.
  1. open terminal in ubuntu.
  2. click on edit menu.
  3. choose profile preferences.
  4. set your desired background image or transparent background.

// change background and forground color of terminal from terminal menus.

  1. click on edit menu of terminal
  2. choose profile preferences.
  3. for color setting uncheck “use color from system theme”  and  change forground and background  color of your choice.
  4. for Bold effects uncheck ” use the system fixed font ” and set your width from font.
  5. close your terminal.

//  To change foreground  color of terminal, Run this command. (But this will temporarily change your terminal color).

$ setterm -term linux -foreground green -clear
Foreground colors:
  •  Default (usually green, white or light gray)
  •  Black
  •  Red (don’t use with green background)
  •  Green
  •  Yellow
  •  Blue
  •  Magenta/Purple
  •  Cyan
  •  Light Gray
  •  Dark Gray
  •  Light Red
  •  Light Green
  •  Light Yellow
  •  Light Blue
  •  Light Magenta/Pink
  •  Light Cyan
  •  White

//  To change foreground  color of terminal, Run this command ( Temporarily change).

$ setterm -term linux -background blue-clear
